Examples/Evidence Needed (Upgrading to Chartered)

I am looking to upgrade my membership through experience assessment. I understand there is a written submission, how many specific examples are needed for this/the interview, and will the data/evidence I've collected when doing these projects be looked at or is it more a discussion around that data you did collect and how you used it. I have a colleague who is upgrading via a different route as she already has a qualification and her written submission involved specific questions so examples need to fall under a certain category.
