Kent TTO Claims Negotiation

Hi there

I work for an academy trust in Kent and our local authority has been involved in negotiations with unions surrounding the term time only holiday pay miscalculation.  These negotiations have finally reached a conclusion and KCC have written to us with our instructions as to how to calculate the compensation due to our employees who have been underpaid.

I've been in contact with our named contact at ACAS but he has come back to me with more questions than answers.  I need to seek a template document that initiates the communications to our employees as I suspect most will not realise these negotiations have been going on and I'm concerned by not communicating effectively it could potentially open up a can of worms!

Is there anyone out there who has been involved in the phase 1 or 2 process of these settlement agreements that would kindly share their initial letter sent to employees please?  I have all of the other underpinning information but nothing I can use to communicate with our staff.

    As an academy trust you are a separate employer to the CC - is there an agreement in place for them to negotiate on this matter on your behalf, maybe as part of TUPE? And if so, are you satisfied they have included your staff/reps as part of the negotiations?
