I don't work within a multi academy trust but our business does have a platinum award for Investors in People (so top 2%) and the amount of work is substantial and shouldn't be under estimated. It related to nearly a full time role for a couple of months and bring in a number of other people from the business to be interviewed.

If your considering the cost and amount of time involved you should first ask yourself why you want the accreditation in my opinion. You may find it more beneficial to invest in your culture and people first.
