Furlough for term time only employees

A question which I'm finding it hard to get a definitive answer on...

We have a number of term time only employees who are currently furloughed (independent school). Most of the employment advice I have seen (from various employment law webinars run by law firms) is that it is not possible to furlough term time employees during the school holidays if their contracts of employment state that they are not expected to normally work during holidays.

The query I have is that does this mean that any TTO employees who are currently furloughed (it is still term time) need to be taken off furlough as soon as term ends? I am assuming it does but have received conflicting advice.

And there are those employees who are "term time plus x weeks" do we take them off furlough and then put on flexi-furlough for the extra weeks?

Is anyone in a similar situation and if so any advice please?

Thanks
