Calculating the cost of part-time/job share working in schools

Dear everyone,

As you know I am in the DfE working on the flexible working challenge and what the department can do to help make change happen. Thank you ALL for being so responsive to my last shout for help, it has been hugely useful and humbling to get so many of you willingly helping out! I have another query, how would you calculate the cost of having a staff member working part time or job share? (I don't think any other form of flexible working would have a cost? I may well be wrong...)

I know that this is not a simple question, may be even understanding all of the implications from an HR pov would be a useful place to start, any input gratefully received!
