Working within Education - I have been given a Fit Note which states 11/04/18 - 20/04/18. I recorded this in the system that we use to record absences. I am being challenged on this as the staff member (Headteacher) states I should only have recorded 16/04/18 - 20/04/18 as the week of 09/04/18 is part of the Easter holidays. Why was the Fit Note not written up for 16/04/18 instead of 11/04/18?

Also, we have claimed on the Insurance from 11/04/18 - 20/04/18 - would this not constitute fraud if we record from 16/04/18?

I would appreciate clarity on this. Thank you.
