Leadership recruitment advertising in a MAT

I am looking for recommended recruitment advertising, it is a MAT setting and we have 2 leadership type roles we need to recruit to. I am looking to try and see what you have had good responses to and what perhaps hasn't worked so well.

I am currently getting costs from all of the general sites but I was wondering if you have had a good response from something that perhaps you wouldn't think of initially.

  • Try Guru - good value for money and includes all the general sites, can include specialist sites, and includes Guardian jobs too
  • I find TES extremely expensive, especially for leadership roles, but Eteach are very reasonable, especially if you buy-in to their subscription to advertise multiple posts.

I have started using Indeed for no-teaching roles and have had fantastic responses and will be shortly trying a teaching post.

Do you have a local job-board for school vacancies in your area that you can advertise on? My MAT covers 2 locations and each has an area specific recruitment tool that we also tap into.

We have used TES previously also but I was trying to find some alternatives.

I have looked at Eteach so I am going to get an idea of cost from them, but it looks a good option.

I was thinking indeed and glassdoor which are fairly low cost options.

Our MAT has 14 schools within 3 different counties, we make use of WMjobs for our vacancies.

It has given me an alternative to consider, Thank you
  • Hi Sam,

We were similar in that we felt the TES were expensive (we also use local council websites and Indeed) but we did a survey amongst our own teaching staff asking them where they would look to apply for roles and the TES was still the most popular. When we use TES we only do On-line so it is cheaper.
