No connections in Yorkshire I'm afraid, but when I was trying to find someone with the right skills for a similar London-based role, I used Reed CV search to identify people with transferable skills, and contacted people directly. We ended up with an excellent appointee with an information management background. It might be worth trying that kind of route to get there.
