We don't have bus drivers included, but do have plenty of other people on our SCR who are not employed by the school. The checks are required of the employing organisation, who has to confirm that they have been done in writing. The ID elements (DBS and photographic ID) are checked on site on the first day (or earlier).

Yes, the date of confirmation (though we may put a note in about when the checks were carried out if those dates are very different). We don't usually get information about the actual dates of the checks - just that they have been done. We tend to know about them only when we carry them out on the other company's behalf - if they can't easily get an enhanced DBS for example.
