Obviously, that's all in the best interests of teachers, but albeit in far more basic / less generous form than that in any kind of employment it's a statutory right

Thanks Annabel, I’m new to the UK HR sector and also new to HR in HR in schools. I just needed a guide or kind of framework approach as my HR past experience was in oil & gas in the Middle East

Good luck in your new role. As someone who works in HR in my day job (which happens to be in the global marine/oil & gas industry!) but has also been a school governor for many years, employment law notwithstanding I've often found schools approach to HR and people management somewhat different to day to day HR in industry. Can't really put my finger on why though!
