Interviewing for a Careers & Enterprise Co-ordinator

Hi all,

We are recruiting for a Careers and Enterprise Co-ordinator and am at a loss with interview questions and a relevant task.

Would anyone have anything they would be kind enough to share?

Thanks you in advance Slight smile

    Hi Yasa,

    Is this a college setting?

I assume you have a job description and shared some background information as part of a candidate pack?

I also assume you won't be interviewing on your own, and that those interviewing will gather together to consider what you'll ask?

    Hi Steve,

    Thanks for the reply.

    We are a foundation school

Yes, we have the job description and person specification and have gone to advert already, we are in the process of shortlisting at the moment.

The panel, all of whom are SRT and will be conducting the interview, however we do require pre arranged questions prior to interview.

Was just hoping someone may have some suggestions / interview questions for a similar role that they've used before that they may be able to share.

This article is approaching ten years old, but I'd be astonished if much if anything has changed since.
    www.theguardian.com/.../teachers-work-careers-advice-specialists
The 'Co-ordinator' in this particular post's context *may* be backed-up by fit-for-purpose specialist careers guidance resources etc, - no idea - but maybe one genuinely useful avenue of questioning would be explore candidates' familiarity or otherwise with the topics of this article?

    PS

Subsequent developments  + update from Govt. here:

    - this reckons there has been change, but again I'd be astonished if that's led to our schools beginning to deliver effective vocational advice and guidance! - similarly, though, candidates' views might  be sought?
