8 Change of working week in the UAE

Hello,

Now that UAE government has announced work week change for public sector and schools, I wanted to see what companies in the private sector are doing. Also what would be the case for Friday's since Muslim's will need to go to the mosque for prayers.

I hope Saudi will change the workdays and reduce it to four and half-day a week

Hi Linda, we have implemented the change effective of the 3rd Jan, all Fridays are optional WFH with Muslim staff having 1 - 3pm off for prayer time. Our Saudi offices, see no change and still work Sun - Thu.

The case for Friday could be;
Full working day and one hour from 1 to 2pm prayer time.
Working from 7:30am to 12pm
Full day of as on city sharjah has been announce 3 days off as holidays every week. Sun and sat and fri
