Performance Improvement Plan - France

Hi! 

Does anyone have any experience of starting a performance improvement plan for a French employee? Are there are any key differences to a UK PIP? I know French employment law can be quite difficult to navigate so I just want to make sure we do this correctly.

    French law is extremely complicated (and very much on the side of the employee), so assuming you don't have any local French HR support, I suggest you get legal advice from a French employment lawyer before starting anything to address this employee's performance. Appreciate this will cost money, but will definitely be worth the investment (the penalties for getting it wrong in France can be severe)
