Short Tem posts in the EU

I am looking for some guidance/help/advice. We are a UK based company with a subsiduary in Germany (very small 1 person) which has a branch in The Netherlands (also v small 1 person) but they have some work in various countries in the EU for short term specialist diving work inshore (so not offshore boat based). We want to send our specialist team who are UK based employees to those jobs, but i am struggling to get a definitive answer on how to do this legally, with correct visas (if needed) in place, I have applied for the A1 form so the social security aspect is all covered.

Should i consider them an Intra Company Transfer? how easy is it to apply for this, can they work in multiple EU countries, as jobs will be short term in multiple places.

Should i cosider them detached workers or posted workers, and what do i need to do with that statis.

They will be there less than 90 days (more like 14)

amy help gratefully recieved, i am going around in circles

  • I don't have any direct help to offer, but from my reluctant exposure to everything Brexit-related in order to secure my lifelong post-Brexit WA rights as a Brit in the EU, I was exposed to quite a few groups and discussions on socials. I remember posts about UK-based musicians / dancers / video games trade fair employees touring the EU and the red tape nightmare. It was possible, but with a lot of cost and paperwork.

AFAIK, there is no all-in-one pan-EU work visa for single non-EU citizens (not even for Britons already living and working in the EU before Brexit who are under lifelong legal protection of rights as per Withdrawal Agreement). If there was, I would have already given my eye teeth to get it, so that I can work on temporary assignments outside of my EU country of residence, in another EU country.

There will, however, be an all-in-one pan-EU security clearance certificate - ETIAS, which all non-EU nationals without a residence permit will need to obtain (regardless of business or pleasure visits) once the scheme opens next year.

Are the touring UK staff taking their own diving equipment, or will they use equipment on-site?Reason I ask, is that customs-wise a carnet is indeed possible, but not exactly easy to arrange.
