Coronavirus - employee being given the all clear

This may be a silly question, we sent an employee home yesterday as they were displaying symptoms similar to those of Coronavirus. They contacted NHS111 and were advised to go to a testing centre.

They have been and thankfully they have been given the all clear.

I assume if they are feeling well enough they can return to work on Monday?

I thought I had read that people still had to self isolate after testing negative as they may still have it? Isn't everyone who is being tested being given advice by the NHS after?

Sorry if i am completely wrong, it's hard to keep up!

My wife hasn't been tested. She may or may not have the virus as she hasn't been tested, which to my way of thinking means she's a greater risk. So does that mean she should self isolate?

I don't think so.
