Future of HR - Opinions

I am working on a report for our board on looking at the future of HR. I just wondered what other people though about the future of HR and what trends we might see and how our systems and processes might change

    As a broad, generic response, I would suggest that you start by taking a look at the report produced by McKinsey & Co.: www.mckinsey.com/.../a-new-operating-model-for-people-management-more-personal-more-tech-more-human

    Alternative reports are offered by various consultancies (e.g.: Deloitte, Gartner, PWC, Korn Ferry, etc.).

    A more targeted response would require that you provide some context: What type of organisation and industry do you work in? You mentioned "our board," but that can vary widely. Could you clarify who exactly your audience is? Are you preparing this report for a specialist or general audience? Also, what is the intended use of the information? Any thoughts on how do they plan to act on it?
