CIPD membership tax relief

Yes, I have been claiming it for a few years now. Rachael has already advised how you can do this.
I recall a colleague mentioned that as the fee goes up every year this may increase the tax relief so may be worth checking every year (I need to do this as haven't got round to it yet - just finding the time to wait ages on the phone to get through to the tax office!)

I cant seem to find it under the list what did you list as?

Its been a good few years since I made the claim so trying to remember what it looks like now!
Which list do you mean - the professional body?

HMRC has published a list of professional bodies for which it accepts membership costs being deductible for tax purposes. The list is at :

www.gov.uk/.../approved-professional-organisations-and-learned-societies

and the CIPD is about 3/4 of the way down the long list and is described as "Personnel & Development Chartered Institute of"
