Target candidate - Women

So i’ve just seen an interesting advert for an HRBP, “encourage women and candidates from a BAME background to apply” Bame i’m not surprised to see as the recent people survey shows a potential lack of diversity and that HR is dominated by women - so i’m perplexed why that is remotely needed? This is for a train company so not necessarily a gender sensitive role.

  • Agree it's probably that females are underrepresented generally.

Although funnily enough I was on a webinar yesterday with about 60 people from HR/L&D backgrounds. The companies they were from were typically male dominated - manufacturing/travel/engineering sectors - and there was only I'd say about 20 give or take of us that were female on the webinar, so I also wouldn't be surprised if its because this company's HR team is mostly male.
