I am currently carrying out some research with Deborah Wilkes to explore confidence and imposter syndrome within the People Profession. This follows on from our previous research around increasing our impact both individually and as a profession.
- Working as an HR professional do you recognise your strengths and the impact you are making?
- Do you notice an internal voice that is affecting how you think and feel about your work
Imposter syndrome is a topic that frequently comes up when talking to people within the profession - that fear of being found out, and a belief they are not as competent as others think you are.
We are investigating three elements:
- Levels of confidence amongst HR professionals
- Confidence they had as a function
- How you feel the HR function is perceived within their organisation.
