Evidence-based employee relations

Hi, I have been trying to find guides, tips etc. about how we can be evidence based employee relations advisors. I have seen the CIPD's guide but need something a bit more practical. For example, what sort of critical questions should an ER advisor be asking when faced with a conduct issue.

    Perhaps we need a little more context. What kind of company are you talking about?  You are an  "ER" advisor?

    What is your  role in disciplinary matters? Investigator? Chair? Advisor - to the managers?
