I am currently undertaking doctoral research with the University of Lancashire, exploring the experiences of women navigating perimenopause and menopause whilst in the workplace across the UK.
The anonymous online survey is now open to women who meet the eligibility criteria and it provides an opportunity to share their experiences of navigating this transition alongside their working lives. Women work across a diverse range of industries, occupations and organisational environments, and achieving representation across these different contexts is an important part of this research.
The research is also seeking to hear the perspectives of HR professionals and Line Managers through one-to-one interviews, exploring their experiences of supporting and responding to perimenopause and menopause within the workplace.
Women participants:
The anonymous online survey is open from 1 September to 1 December 2026, with an opportunity to express interest in a more in-depth one-to-one interview.

HR professionals and Line Managers:
If you are interested in participating in a one-to-one research interview, please contact me directly at LCAlexander1@lancashire.ac.uk for further information.
I would be incredibly grateful to CIPD members who may be eligible to participate or who can share the research within their professional networks. Every response and every share helps to support wider representation across different workplace experiences.
