Hello CIPD Students!

I am pleased to tell you about a pre-Student Conference event taking place online, on Thursday 15 February, from 18:15 – 19:45.

This event, hosted by the CIPD Branch in Birmingham, is open to all students to provide you with the key tips and techniques to prepare for the annual CIPD Student Conference, taking place on 2 March. This event will help you make the most out of your time before, during and after conference attendance.

It will include topics such as ‘researching the conference and speakers’, ‘the importance of, and techniques for, effective note taking’, ‘the art of active listening’, ‘crafting meaningful questions’, and ‘networking strategies and a run through of the CIPD Student Community’.

You will also get to meet committee members from CIPD branches, who will be there to answer questions about volunteering with your local branch to gain experience, mentorship and networking opportunities with professionals in the field.
