Caption Competition 2023 - Terms and Conditions
Details of how to enter form part of the terms and conditions. No other method of competition entry is allowed. It is a condition of entry that all rules are accepted as final and that the competitor agrees to abide by these rules. The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
You take part by submitting a caption, you will be given the opportunity to enter the competition with prizes as specified in the CIPD Community. Entries must not include abusive, discriminatory or defamatory language.
Late, incomplete, illegible or corrupt entries will not be accepted. No responsibility can be accepted for late or deleted entries and proof of transmission will not be accepted as proof of receipt. The winner for each caption will be chosen from all entries received by the closing date, and published by Friday 12 January 2024.
All entries must be received by 23.59 on 31 December 2023.
There will be one winner per caption competition, who will be contacted over a period of fourteen days after the closing date and if unsuccessful, they will forfeit the prize. Management and operation of the competition is at the discretion of the Promoter.
By entering the competition, the entrant agrees to release the Promoter from any liability whatsoever for any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the competition or with the acceptance, possession, attendance at or use of the prize (except death or personal injury caused by the Promoter’s negligence, for fraud, or otherwise as prohibited by law).
Entry is open to all those over the age of 18. This competition is not open to employees of CIPD or CIPD Enterprises Limited, their families, agents or anyone else professionally associated with the competition.
All prizes are available on the date of publication but subject to availability. Prizes are non-transferable and there are no cash alternatives.
The winner may be required to participate in publicity.
Events may occur that render the competition itself or the awarding of the prize impossible due to reasons beyond the control of the Promoter and accordingly the Promoter may at its absolute discretion vary or amend the promotion and the entrant agrees that no liability shall attach to the Promoter as a result thereof.
English law applies and the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts shall prevail. The Promoter is CIPD Enterprises Limited, which is wholly owned by The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, 151 The Broadway, London, SW19 1JQ
