Hello All,
I am sorry if this question has been answered before. I have a very straight-forward and plain question. I am a 35 year old male who has worked in 4 big corporate names or Fortune 500 companies. I have worked in Projects team, Support team, Contact centre, Application Support and also in Training department.
My line managers and Training heads found that I am a natural teacher and have all the attributes of a good coach and a mentor. I was chosen to provide product training to new-joinees and have always been part of In-House training department for refresher trainings to internal staff. Wherever I worked, I ended up being a Trainer / Mentor; even for ad hoc trainings without any preparation whatsoever and am glad to say my sessions and methods were lauded.
Unfortnately and very sadly, no company ever took interest in my professional development. I have worked for 8 years in India and now have been in UK since last 5 years working as a Assistant Project Manager.
Here, one of the Project Managers told me about getting a qualification from CIPD L&D. However, the cost of the course is huge. Something I can't afford currently.
So, my humble question is, are there any other courses / qualifications / certifications please in the market - acquiring or completing which will help me get the job I need i.e. Trainer / Assessor? Or how do I say in the interviews that I am very good at Training and would like to work in such department?
Sorry, it's become long post. And I do appreciate any advice.
Many Thanks,
Haneef Md
