Great to hear you are starting your CIPD course soon. Your study centre will advise on these kinds of questions. There are loads of resources:

• CIPD site which you will access with your student membership 
• Your study centre learning platform - we have around 50 to 100 resources and links per unit to start you off
• Your own research
• The CIPD recommended books - new/secondhand or via a subscription service - we have one core book for L5 that we generally suggest is helpful but there are lots for each topic if you want them
