Advice on the transition from a Recruitment Consultant to HR Professional Please

Hi All,

I am currently a Recruitment Consultant with 4 years experience. I am studying my CIPD Level 5 HR Management and looking to make the transition into a Entry Level HR position.

Does anyone have any advice or have done this themselves before?

Hi Samantha

If I were recruiting for a recruitment role, I would want to be assured that your experience was not purely sales-driven. There are some great recruitment consultants out there who do a thoughtful job of matching candidates to vacancies, but there are also many who come across as being about the sale first and foremost.

Hi Elizabeth,

Thank you for your response. That sounds good to me as I have never actually done the sales side. I have purely been candidate focused and managed accounts for long standing clients.
