HR Administrator

Hello Everyone

I have an interview for an HR administrator on Thursday 06th July 2017. The interview format is in two parts:

1. practical assessment (approx 20 mins)

2. face to face interview (approx 30 mins)

I rang the HR team to confirm attendance and asked if I have to prepare anything for the 20 mins assessment. I was advised no preparation is required the assessment is based on how their HR and payroll function within their organisation.

Can some please advice what it could contain as I have no experience in HR but I have done my qualification in it.

Many thanks and regards

Brian

From your CV they know you don't have any practical HR experience yet they have asked you to interview so I wouldn't worry too much.

Its likely that the exercise will be some form of in-tray exercise where you have a number of tasks to prioritise, some low level administration to complete etc (questions from managers, payroll admin, form filling etc). Alternatively it might be some form of data entry/admin testing basic skills.

Personally wouldn't have thought they will be pushing you too hard in 20 minutes.

    Good luck
