We have a senior member of the team who is pregnant and talking through the risk assessment with her, we talked about stress in the workplace and what support she requires from us to ensure that this is not having a detrimental impact on her/growing baby's health and well being. We talked about the need for her to share any concerns with her line manager and if she is finding the work too stressful to take regular breaks and ask her colleagues for support etc.
She also talked about how she often spends time at home working in the evenings/on her days off (part time) due to the pressures of work but she enjoys her role and does not feel that this is causing her any added stress. Can someone please advise as to how I can address this as part of the risk assessment.
Do I confirm that we have had the discussion and the employee feels that the extra work (which is business as usual at School) is not causing her to feel any additional stress but she will raise this with her line manager if it is having a negative impact. We can't insist she stops working at home as she will just do it. Advice needed please - thank you!
