Recruitment in Ireland

Hi all

I work for a company based in England, who are looking to recruit an Engineer based in the Republic of Ireland. I don't really want to go down the agency route as I'd like to keep costs down but have no experience of recruiting in this area. I've done some research online, but would appreciate any local knowledge regarding job boards/ other avenues to consider? The role is a Service Engineer within the boiler industry.

Thanks in advance

  • Hi Claire
Just to be clear for us, can you clarify whhere the person is going to work?
David's reply seems to be for the hypothesis of a person currently in the Republic coming to work in the UK, but I get the impression from your post that they might in fact be expected to work in the Republic of Ireland.
  • Ah yes, on carefully re-reading, I may have mistaken this scenario. If I have, I of course apologise.
If so, it does get potentially somewhat complicated as regards possibly the personal tax regime and / or employment law jurisdiction that might apply to the engineer whilst in Ireland........
