Earlier in the year, this came up from several non HR managers, "isn't it time for HR to change its name to something more friendly" My view was you don't just change the name of the function if you are not going to change anything else! It has to be something a bit more tangible than just a name change for change's sake!
Ironically the head of HR is Director of People & Organisation, but there is a Head of HR under the DPO and everyone else is HR.
