Not heard of such a thing as asking for Chartered HR but could see why insurers would want all departments to have suitably qualified/expereinced staff.

Is there an insurance (liability / PI) product that requires the employer to either be a people development partner or have Chartered HR? And if anything like this might be in the works, to your knowledge?

- not insurers, directly, but the legal duty of all employers. And many insurers demand up to date risk assessments, which obviously aren't valid unless done by one way or the other competent people - but not of course necessarily CIPD or even IOSH folk.........
