  • I elected to stop receiving People Management a few years ago due to it's very 'anti HR' approach, with many articles, and social media posts blaming HR for all manner of things.  I provided feedback at the time and given this post thought I would check to see if it had changed to be a tad more supportive to the profession it represents.

I didn't have to go too far to find  this article " The middle management burnout crisis: is HR to blame?"

So I think I'll continue to give it a miss.

  • Teresa, I still take the magazine as I think it's useful to see where the editorial focus lies and what it chooses to zero in on. I take your point, I'd say the headlines often follow a journalistic/ news/ clickbait approach which is everywhere and inescapable it seems. I usually find one or two useful articles each edition and it reminds me that for those new to the profession or in more generic, less specialist roles the magazine serves a purpose. It's not my go to read anymore, I find Work is so much better and a true perk of being and keeping fellowship status. It's more heavyweight, broader and goes deeper.
